Opera Without Borders
OSF is a non-governmental organization (NGO) that was created with the purpose of bringing opera to those groups that have traditionally been excluded from it, aiming to highlight their struggles through lyrical theater.
We understand opera as an instrument of social transformation, not as an element of entertainment only accessible to a few.
Opera, as an integrative art form where music, dance, theater, and visual arts converge, is the ideal vehicle to place the most disadvantaged groups at the center of creation and thus help them resolve their conflicts.
MADAGASIKARA
Nirina’s Dream
THE EXPEDITION ENDS IN RESOUNDING SUCCESS!
Madagascar has witnessed an unprecedented event: “Nirina’s Dream,” the first opera in the Malagasy language in history, has traveled across the Red Island for a month, spreading hope, art, and transformation wherever it went.
OVER 120 PEOPLE
In August 2025, Nirina’s Dream toured four cities on the island over the course of five weeks, in a logistical operation without precedent.
Among the more than 120 participants were 90 artists, a doctor, two cooks, technicians, and volunteers — all embarked on an expedition as ambitious as it was beautiful.
8 Vans, 2000 km, 72 Hours on the Road
From Toliara to Antananarivo, passing through Antsiranana and Fianarantsoa, we transformed 4 venues into true theaters to share 7 unforgettable performances.
More than 8,000 people attended free of charge
Most of them were children experiencing the transformative power of opera for the very first time.
A Dream that Breaks Down Walls, Cries Out for Women’s Freedom, and Fights for the Protection of Our World

A message that, next year, we will be able to hear in Spain.
